Water Main Replacements Program

Since 2002, our inspection staff has been directly involved with inspecting water main work in communities throughout Indiana on more than 400 individual projects. These projects have accounted for more than 180 miles of new water main, 1,500 hydrants, 3,600 valves, and more than 10,800 service connections with a total construction cost of more than $265 Million.

Our experience has allowed our staff to become proficient at inspecting work involving all different material types and construction methods. In addition to inspecting the facilities being installed, our staff excels at maintaining construction records, tracking pay quantities, oversight of disinfection and pressure testing activities, tracking construction budgets, interpreting plans, leading community relations, and coordinating schedules between local officials, designers, and nearby property owners.
