Kevin Thibault Joins American Structurepoint’s Florida Transportation Group

American Structurepoint welcomes Kevin Thibault, PE, as a principal in its Florida Transportation Group effective May 5. In this role, Kevin will help American Structurepoint advance the mission and goals of the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT), local Florida municipalities, and transportation agencies.
Kevin is a proven transportation leader with more than 40 years of experience in the public and private sectors. He has collaborated with transportation agencies and communities across the US and Canada, developing innovative transportation solutions that efficiently move people and goods safely, while driving economic growth. His expertise will be a significant asset as American Structurepoint continues to grow its presence in Florida.

Kevin most recently served as chief executive officer of the Greater Orlando Aviation Authority, overseeing operations at both Orlando International Airport and Orlando Executive Airport. From 2019 to 2022, he served as FDOT Secretary under Gov. Ron DeSantis, leading key initiatives to improve safety, efficiency, and innovation. Kevin also served more than 19 years in various senior roles at FDOT, and the rest of his career has been with engineering firms in Florida and New England.

Kevin is a longtime member of the American Society of Civil Engineers and the Florida Engineering Society. Since 2013, he has served on the advisory board of the University of Massachusetts—Dartmouth College of Engineering.
