National Guard, Hamilton County Readiness Center
Hamilton County, Indiana
The Hamilton County Readiness Center is envisioned as a 73,000-sft facility combining personnel and equipment from three Indiana National Guard (ING) armories into one facility. The center will accommodate space for up to 294 personnel and will support the ING’s administrative, training, communication, and logistical needs. The center’s components include training and assembly areas, food preparation and dining, parking areas, and future areas available for expansion. The building’s design concepts are in development; however, the building will emphasize sustainability and energy efficiency, natural daylight interiors, and evoke a sense of prominence while reflecting and integrating with the area’s natural rural setting. The center’s design will include the commitment and integration of the community with the project intentions. The facility will be designed to achieve a LEED Silver certification.
