New Haven Comprehensive Plan Receives Award from the Indiana Chapter of the American Planning Association

The New Haven Comprehensive Plan, developed in partnership with American Structurepoint, received an honorable mention award for its innovative approach to urban development and commitment to community sustainability.
The plan prioritizes social sustainability, community identity, and preparedness for significant residential growth. It emphasizes support for aging in place, ensuring that residents can comfortably remain in the community throughout their lives. This focus aligns with New Haven's evolution into a full-fledged suburb of Fort Wayne, striking a balance between growth and quality of life.

The city’s goal in crafting the plan is to maintain New Haven's distinct identity amid its growing importance in the Fort Wayne metropolitan area.
