Community Revitalization for the Alton Place Development
Hilliard, Ohio
Alton Place is a 354-acre mixed-use development in Hilliard, including 172 single-family lots and patio homes, 280 attached urban housing multi-family units, and a walkable village center featuring 245,000 square feet of commercial space, including medical/professional offices, retail space, restaurants, and other businesses catering to residents in the neighborhood. Alton Place is located within the Big Darby Creek watershed, an Ohio EPA-protected watershed requiring conservation development and 50% open space. Alton Place features a manmade lake with a wharf, which is surrounded by the existing wetlands, streams, and grasslands being preserved on the property. The project contains 177 acres of open space, 3 miles of trails, and protection of Hamilton Run, which traverses the center of the project. We were engaged with the project to provide rezoning/preliminary development planning, final development plans, and construction documents.
