Pleasant Street Corridor Extension
Noblesville, Indiana
Creativity has been at the center of the Reimagine Pleasant Street project from the very beginning. This led to productive and inspirational conversations with various stakeholders in the City of Noblesville. One such instance led to the idea of including custom art that contributed to the sense of identity for the community. Our landscape architecture team was quick to act and designed multiple concepts for the city’s consideration.
After their favorite was selected, our team worked alongside a native artist to design the artwork. We then worked with a company that fabricated the molds to make sure the design was durable, consistent with the vision of the artist, and met the goals of the community. The incorporation of the peony, Indiana’s state flower, speaks to growing the identity that Noblesville is the peony capital of the United States. This community improvement, along with many others, will leave a lasting impact on the City of Noblesville and all those who visit the downtown area.
