American Structurepoint Senior Vice President Walid Gemayel, PE, was inducted into the Executive Order of the Ohio Commodores on June 29. Membership is only possible through appointment by Ohio’s Governor in recognition for outstanding contributions to economic development in their communities and to the State Of Ohio. It is considered Ohio’s most distinguished honor.

The association is a nonpartisan organization with a diverse and dedicated membership of over 350 men and women. Members include senior business executives, university professors and administrators, leaders of trade associations and economic development organizations, and government officials.

Walid has worked over 30 years to improve transportation infrastructure in Ohio communities, including four years as a deputy director of the Ohio Department of Transportation. He currently is the executive leading American Structurepoint’s Ohio team of over 50 engineering consulting professionals working in Columbus and Cincinnati. He also serves on the board of directors of the Ohio Contractors Association and the American Council of Engineering Companies of Ohio.
