Combine Fire Loss
Winamac, Indiana
The privately owned 2012 John Deere combine was located in a barn on a John Deere dealership property at the time of the fire. The combine had not been operated for two days prior to the event. Consultants from American Structurepoint conducted an origin and cause investigation, and discovered that the combine had been subject to vandalism as the property and barn were kept open and unlocked. The dealership was found liable for unsecured, unmonitored, and open storage of the farm equipment.
