Alum Creek Trunk South Sewer Rehabilitation

Columbus, Ohio

The Alum Creek Trunk sewer is a critical part of the City’s infrastructure and is experiencing concrete deterioration. The project sewers are located through a mix of wooded, residential, and industrial areas. The American Structurepoint team made up of experienced sewer rehab specialists, concrete experts, and structural engineers, will work with the City to provide the rehabilitation of 8,918 lft of 96” and 102” diameter reinforced concrete pipe and associated manholes via shotcrete rehabilitation methods. As part of this project, the City tasked our team with conducting a thorough review and analysis of the project design aspects including the project phasing and overlapping work areas with the Phase 1 and Phase 3 projects, existing pipe conditions, hydraulics, construction methods, project access right-of-way and easements, cost, operational/maintenance considerations, as well as the impact each of these aspects has on the others.
