Bonita Springs Infrastructure Improvements

Bonita Springs, Florida

Stormwater program management, design, and modeling is a niche where American Structurepoint shines. In September 2017, Hurricane Irma, a Category 5 Hurricane, significantly impacted the City of Bonita Springs. Areas of the city were under as much as four feet of standing water for a duration of more than three weeks. This significant duration of standing water impacted sanitary sewer infrastructure, delayed power restoration and cleanup, and kept residents out of their homes following the storm. To help the City prepare for and avoid future significant flooding events, our team developed a sophisticated two-dimensional (2D) hydrologic and hydraulic analysis.
