Mayflower Estates Sewer Study

Cincinnati, Ohio

American Structurepoint was selected for preliminary evaluation of alternatives to rehabilitate or replace the Mayflower Estates WWTP and the sanitary sewers upstream of it. This system was originally built in the 1970s and serves a residential development that con¬sists of approximately 200 homes. The existing WWTP has exceeded its useful design life and has O&M issues. In addition, high peak flows during wet-weather suggest that the system experiences high levels of rain-derived inflow and infiltration (RDII), which causes additional issues at the plant. The project consisted of performing an assessment of the existing WWTP components, and providing MSDGC with a summary rating of each pro¬cess based on a scale of 1 to 5. Field investigations of the sewer system included both CCTV inspections and smoke testing and the results were summarized in a technical memorandum.
